Idea Bible, Pasadena Garfield Heights Bungalow
For a client who wants guidance but doesn't want to hire a designer to handle everything, an 'idea bible' is ideal. It's a personalized collection of sketches, materials, ideas, colors and suggestions meant to provide options. Then, it's up to the client to move forward, either with or without further assistance from me.
Hancock Park Historical Home, Entry Foyer
Sometimes a large idea board, covered with visual stimuli, can help show a client the broad concept for a space.
Here's the completed space. Just because a property is historic doesn't mean it can't be welcoming, and I feel a mix of antiques, hand-made objects and flea market finds can create that atmosphere.
